Man Pulls Gun On 6 Kids For Damaging Donald Trump Sign: Police

Are these Trumped-up charges?
A Michigan man has been charged with seven felonies after he allegedly held six kids at gunpoint, believing they’d damaged a Donald Trump campaign sign in his yard, the Southgate News Herald reported.
Michael Robert Kubek, 56, reportedly called the police on Oct. 29 to report that a group of teens had hit his “Trump for President” lawn sign.
When officers arrived, Kubek wasn’t home, but they heard a lot of yelling on the corner and went to see what was causing the commotion, the Herald reported. They found Kubek yelling and cursing at a group of adolescents ages 12 to 14, who were sitting on some grass in front of a house, police said.
Kubek accused the youths of damaging his Trump sign, but admitted that he hadn’t seen any of them actually do it and didn’t have security cameras that could prove who destroyed the sign, according to officers.
Police said there is no evidence that proves the kids were involved in vandalizing the sign, WDIV TV reported.
Officers sent Kubek home while they questioned the kids, who had reportedly told him they didn’t touch his sign. He didn’t believe them, they said. Then they alleged that he’d pointed a gun at them while his mother called the police.
When the officers questioned Kubek about this, he showed them an unloaded Sig Sauer 9 mm P938, according to the Detroit Free Press.
“He said it was unloaded and still in the holster when pulled from his waist,” Allen Park Police Det. Lt. Dave Williams told the paper.
Kubek told police he “felt threatened by the juveniles because he was outnumbered”  and “stated that his intention was to scare the juveniles,” a news release issued by the department stated.
He also said that his house had been egged and political signs in front of it had been destroyed a week earlier, according to RawStory.
Kubek was arraigned on Tuesday. He was charged with six counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of felony firearm possession.
His next court date is a probable cause hearing scheduled for Dec. 5.

OBAMA DEFENDS TRUMP

Obama Shouts Over Crowd To Defend Trump Supporter At Rally

President Barack Obama defended a Donald Trump supporter Friday when the crowd at North Carolina rally began yelling after the man stood up with a pro-Trump sign.

The disruption at the campaign event for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton began when a man in military attire stood up with the signsupporting the Republican presidential nominee. He was escorted from the venue shortly after.
People began shouting as Obama repeatedly told the crowd to “hold up.”
“Everybody sit down and be quiet for a second,” Obama said.
“You’ve got an older gentleman who’s supporting his candidate,” he added. “He’s not doing nothing. You don’t have to worry about him.”

A Donald Trump supporter disrupted remarks by President Barack Obama at a rally Friday for Hillary Clinton in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Obama responded perfectly.
Obama told the crowd that it appears the man was a veteran, and they should respect his service.
“We live in a country that respects free speech,” he said. “Don’t boo, vote.”

HOW DONALD TRUMP KEPT MY DAD ALIVE

How Donald Trump Kept My Dad Alive (Until He Died)

COLIN GRAY VIA GETTY IMAGES
I am sure that this presidential election extended my dad’s life. During these past few months, which turned out to be his last, everything revolved around Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. They were all he wanted to talk about and their controversies filled him with energy.
A lifelong Republican and philanthropist, my father worked in the textile industry for 45 years and gave his time and money to support local organizations like The United Way of Westchester and The White Plains Hospital. This was a man that quietly voted for Goldwater, Nixon, Reagan and both Bushes. But Trump scared him enough to speak out.
“He would tell everyone not to vote for Trump,” said Yvonne Williams, one of my father’s long time aides. “Whenever a nurse, a cleaning person, or even the cable man came into the house John would make them promise to vote for Hillary.”
When a barber came to the house to give him the last haircut of his life, my father quickly determined he was a Trump supporter. Before the man could get his scissors ready my dad pounced.
“How can you vote for Trump?” They got into a contentious back-and-forth. As the barber tried to cut his hair, my dad would stop him and ask, “Can’t you see that Hillary is better for the country?” And then over and over, “Vote Hillary.” Finally, the man capitulated. He’d vote for Hillary if my dad would stop his verbal attack and let him finish cutting his hair. Satisfied, my dad stopped berating the barber. But when he discovered that his own son-in-law was voting for Trump he never stopped haranguing him until the day he died.
On one of my sister’s last visits, our dad mostly slept. But when she told him that Trump hadn’t paid income taxes in over a decade, the eyes of this 98-year-old man popped open and he shot up in his bed asking questions, eager to hear more. As John Bendheim’s life, filled with family, friends, tennis, and chocolate cake, came to an end 28 days before the election, his last words in life are memorable.
It was on Yom Kippur, the Jewish day of atonement, which began at sundown on October 11th. Seven years earlier on the same somber holiday, it was my mother, his wife of 58 years, Maxine Asch Bendheim, who died. When Charmaine Nalty, another one of his long-term aides, said goodnight to my father on the anniversary of his wife’s death he spoke his last words.
“Trump is an idiot,” he said. “Vote for Hillary.”
The next morning, he was gone

Nearly 1,500 Calais refugee children evacuated from camp, with nearly 700 expected for British asylum

Unaccompanied migrant minors, from the demolished "Jungle" migrant camp in Calais
Nearly 700 child migrants from the now-demolished Calais migrants camp could be given asylum in Britain, according to charities.
Four in 10 of 1,600 children bussed out of the remains of the camp yesterday[wed] say that they have relatives in the UK, and Whitehall sources suggested that as many as half could successfully claim asylum.
Amber Rudd, the Home Secretary, has said that "several hundred" will come but Home Office sources denied that Britain will take half of them.
